Countdown to next round

Supported by The British Chess Problem Society
and lovingly prepared by its members

Tourney Announcements

Each Round starts automatically at the scheduled time
ie. as soon as the countdown ends.

As each round completes you should immediately click
the 'Mail my Solutions to Control' & 'Send' buttons
before returning to the Tourney page.

Threats, when applicable, should be included in the
solution to avoid the need for manual marking.

Duals should be treated as multiple defences,
repeating moves as necessary.

Transpositions in studies can be ignored, only one
is required for full marks.

Long notation required by marking algorithm. Do not
change computer-generated moves in your solutions.

WCSC rules & recommendations for scoring apply.

Technical Notices & HELP

CAUTION: The default eMail service on your device
may be difficult to use. Don't worry. On Tourney Over
simply click on the Show Result buttons in turn.
When done, take a screen-shot of the page header
and eMail it to boosm21@btinternet.com using
your personal eMail service.

For these pages to work, cookies must be enabled.
Please note that no personal data is collected, only
your solutions and timing data.

AVOID using the BACK button. The
. . RETURN TO PROBLEM PAGE
. . RETURN TO TOURNEY PAGE
. . GO TO MAIL PAGE buttons
within the App provide the only safe way to move from
page to page. Accidental use of the BACK button can
be reversed with the FORWARD & REFRESH buttons.
Exceptions: to resend an eMail & when Tourney Over.

Although the App runs well on smartphones,
incoming phone & text interruptions could be
a problem as Internet access is required. The lack
of a FORWARD button could also be a problem.

Ensure that the clock on your screen is correct. If
not, pages may not be ready to download. A later
REFRESH should fix it but will cost solving time.

Beware also that Daylight Saving Time handling on
many devices and browsers is unreliable. Affected
solvers may prefer to change to a different time-zone
BEFORE re-loading their browser.
